1099 SALES AGENT
Remote•Flexible Hours•Commission-Based
THE ROLE
We're looking for motivated sales professionals to help contractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, roofers) grow their businesses with TradesCaptain software.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You set your own hours, work from anywhere, and control your income.
No salary. No cap. Just pure performance-based earnings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify and reach out to trade businesses
- Conduct discovery calls to understand their needs
- Demo TradesCaptain products (we provide training)
- Close deals and onboard new customers
- Build relationships for referrals and upsells
- Track your pipeline in our CRM
COMPENSATION
This is 100% commission-based with two income streams:
UPFRONT COMMISSION
of first month's revenue
Example: Sell a $299/mo Web Pro plan = $149.50 upfront
RECURRING COMMISSION
monthly (loyalty bonus at 6 months)
Example: That same $299/mo account pays you:
• $29.90/month for months 2-6
• $44.85/month from month 6 onward
• Forever. As long as they stay a customer.
ANNUAL CONTRACTS BONUS
Example: Sell a $299/mo plan as annual ($3,588) = $1,255.80
EARNING POTENTIAL
SCENARIO: 5 SALES/MONTH @ $200 AVERAGE
Month 1: $500 upfront
Month 3: $500 upfront + $200 recurring = $700
Month 6: $500 upfront + $500 recurring = $1,000
Month 12: $500 upfront + $1,200 recurring = $1,700
Month 24: $500 upfront + $3,000 recurring = $3,500
That's just 5 sales/month. Top performers do 15-20.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE:
- United States Citizen (required)
- Self-motivated — you don't need someone watching over you
- Comfortable with outbound sales (cold calling, emailing)
- Excellent communication skills (phone and written)
- Reliable high-speed internet: Minimum 50 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload
- Quiet, dedicated workspace for making calls
- Hungry to earn — this is commission-only, no safety net
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience selling to small businesses or contractors
- Background in trades, construction, or home services
- SaaS or software sales experience
- Existing network of contractors or trade businesses
- Bilingual (Spanish is a huge plus)
NOT REQUIRED:
- Degree (we care about results, not credentials)
- Previous sales experience (coachability > experience)
- Specific location (work from anywhere in the USA)
